Our founder is a U.S. Marine combat veteran turned aircraft mechanic and commercial pilot who knows the cost of tool chaos firsthand. Tired of wasting time digging through cluttered drawers, he designed the first Toolbox Widget in his Montana garage—self-funded, no investors, just a better way to work. That garage-built idea became a patented, global organization system trusted by mechanics everywhere.

Toolbox Widget was born out of frustration—the wasted time, the lost tools, the cluttered drawers. After serving as a U.S. Marine and aircraft mechanic, our founder saw firsthand how critical tool organization is to doing the job right. When the industry offered nothing that solved the problem, he turned to 3D printing and built something better. Self-funded from day one and powered by veteran grit, that simple idea grew into more than 25 patented innovations that help mechanics take back control of their workspace.
