This policy describes the types of information we may collect from you or that you may provide when you visit the website toolboxwidget.com (our "Website") and our practices for collecting, using, maintaining, protecting, and disclosing that information.

This policy applies to information we collect on this Website, and in email and other electronic communications between you and this Website. SECTION 4 – YOUR CHOICES ABOUT YOUR INFORMATION

We strive to provide you with choices regarding the personal information you provide to us. We have created mechanisms to provide you with control over your information.

You can set your browser to refuse all or some browser cookies, or to alert you when cookies are being sent. If you disable or refuse cookies, please note that some parts of this site may then be inaccessible or not function properly.

If you do not wish to have your contact information used by us to promote our own or third parties' products or services, you can opt out by sending us an email stating your request to support@toolboxwidget.com. If we have sent you a promotional email, you may send us a return email asking to be omitted from future email distributions. This does not apply to information provided to us from a product purchase, warranty registration, or other transactions.

You may also send us an email at support@toolboxwidget.com to request access to, correct, or delete any personal information that you have provided to us. We may not accommodate a request to change information if we believe the change would violate any law or legal requirement or cause the information to be incorrect.

If you are located in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, you have additional rights described in Section 10, including the right to data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

SECTION 5 – DISCLOSURE

We may disclose aggregated information about our users, and information that does not identify any individual, without restriction. We may disclose personal information that we collect or you provide as described in this policy:

  • To fulfill the purpose for which you provide it.
  • For any other purpose disclosed by us when you provide the information.
  • With your consent.
  • To comply with any court order, law, or legal process, including to respond to any government or regulatory request.
  • To enforce or apply our Terms of Service, Shipping Policy, and other agreements, including for billing and collection purposes.
  • If we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to protect the rights, property, or safety of Toolbox Widget, our customers, or others.
  • To contractors, service providers, and other third parties we use to support our business, including Global-e Online Ltd., who acts as merchant of record and handles checkout, currency conversion, and customs/duties/VAT compliance for orders shipped to the European Union.
  • To a buyer or other successor in the event of a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, or other sale or transfer of some or all of our assets, whether as a going concern or as part of bankruptcy, liquidation, or similar proceeding, in which personal information held by us about our Website users is among the assets transferred.

SECTION 6 – SHOPIFY

Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you.

Your data is stored through Shopify’s data storage, databases, and the general Shopify application. They store your data on a secure server behind their firewall.

Payment:

If you choose a direct payment gateway through Shopify to complete your purchase, then Shopify stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard. Your purchase transaction data is stored only for as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted, and Toolbox Widget can only see the last 4 of the credit/debit card used during the purchase.

All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

For more insight, you may also want to read Shopify’s Terms of Service (https://www.shopify.com/legal/terms) or Privacy Statement (https://www.shopify.com/legal/privacy).

For orders shipped to the European Union: checkout, currency conversion, and applicable customs/duties/VAT are processed by Global-e Online Ltd., acting as merchant of record for those transactions. Global-e processes your order and shipping information as an independent controller for these purposes.

SECTION 7 – SECURITY

To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered, sold or destroyed. If you provide us with your credit card information over the phone or any other means than through the Website, the information is destroyed immediately after the purchase is complete through our Point of Sale app provided by Shopify. The safety and security of your information also depends on you. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password for access to certain parts of our Website, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential.

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we do our best to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information transmitted to our Website. Any transmission of personal information is at your own risk. We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures contained on the Website.
